The McTimoney method of chiropractic was developed by the late John McTimoney over 50 years ago and is taught only at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon, near Oxford. It is well known for being a precise, whole body approach to chiropractic care. The gentle nature of the McTimoney method makes it especially suitable for people of all ages.
McTimoney chiropractic has helped thousands of people for over 50 years and around 150,000 new patients consult a McTimoney Chiropractor each year. Over 8000 people are cared for by McTimoney Chiropractors each working day.
UK members of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association are registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
Western medical acupuncture is a therapeutic treatment involving the insertion of fine needles into the skin and underlying tissues in key ‘points’ for therapeutic or preventative purposes. It is an adaptation of Chinese acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, and the principles of evidence based medicine.
Our package of acupuncture care varies from regular visits to assist with migraines and headaches to just one or two treatments alongside chiropractic care for knee or muscle pain.
KT has been clinically shown to assist with the natural response to inflammation. It provides support to injured muscles and joints whilst allowing a safe and pain free range of movement, encouraging the patient to continue moving or training whilst they recover. KT is sometimes used as part of your treatment.
